Dr. Cornelia Fürstenau

Dr. Cornelia Fürstenau is a data steward in the Biodiversity Exploratories with a background in forest science, agriculture, and geoecology. Her current work focuses on biodiversity data management and data quality. She has also been involved in research on the impacts of climate change on forest ecosystems and in science communication. Dr. Fürstenau has experience in coordinating research projects, developing training programs, and advising researchers on data management practices. She earned her PhD from the University of Potsdam, where she studied the effects of silvicultural strategies and climate change on carbon sequestration and other forest functions. She is also a certified GIS specialist and actively engaged in academic teaching and thesis supervision.
